1. Introduction

The operator of the ANSR app ("the App") ("we" or "the Operator") respects the privacy of users and is committed to protecting personal information. We minimize collection of personally identifiable information and use round data in anonymized form. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information.

2. Types of Data Collected and Purposes

We collect the following for provision and operation of the App, cloud backup and restore, and (when enabled by the user) improvement and analysis. We use the permissions below (location, camera, photo library) only for the stated purposes.

2.1 Authentication

• User identifier obtained via our supported sign-in methods (anonymized) — for cloud backup and restore

2.2 Round Data

Scores, putts, hole-by-hole data, Strokes Gained, fairway keep, GIR, weather, wind direction/speed, clubs used, etc. Used in anonymized form for app improvement and statistical analysis. Data linked to your account is also used for cloud storage and restore.

2.3 User Settings

Target level (core score, average drive distance), club setup, etc. Used in anonymized form for analysis.

2.4 Agent ID

A 2-character code plus 6-digit identifier that you register (e.g., MM-000001). Displayed as player name in rankings and public data (in a way that does not identify individuals).

2.5 Device Information

App version, OS version (iOS / Android), device model. Used for error analysis and compatibility.

2.6 Location, Camera, Photo Library, Club Photos

• Location: Used only while the app is in use for golf course map display and shot recording. Needed to identify course position and record shot locations accurately.
• Camera: Used for AR overlay to display shot dispersion on the real-world course.
• Photo library: We access the photo library to analyze swing videos and to save club/bag photos.
• Club photos: Stored in Firebase Storage and used for cloud backup for signed-in users.

3. Data Collection ON/OFF (Opt-out)

You can turn data collection OFF via the "Data collection" switch in CONFIG. When OFF, we do not send data to Firestore when you confirm a round. The default for data collection is ON.

Authentication and cloud storage are core features; disabling them means cloud sync etc. cannot be used. For account or data deletion requests, please contact us.

4. Third-Party and External Services

We use the following services; each service's privacy policy applies.

• Apple: Apple sign-in, App Store billing, push notifications — Privacy Policy

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, Firestore (cloud storage, round data), Storage (club photos), FCM (push) — Privacy

5. Data Storage and Retention

Most data is stored on device. Uninstalling the app removes that data. Cloud storage is used for backup for signed-in users.

Anonymized round data may be retained for improvement and analysis. Contact us if you wish to request deletion.

6. Data Sharing and Security

We do not sell collected data or share it for advertising or tracking, except where required by law or for necessary outsourcing (e.g., cloud providers, under contract). Communications are encrypted via HTTPS.

8. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 16. Round data etc. is used in anonymized form. If a parent or guardian believes we have collected a child's information, please contact us and we will address it.

9. Changes to This Policy and Governing Law

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy takes effect when posted in the App or on https://answer.golf. We will notify users of material changes via the app or website. This Privacy Policy shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan.
