How ANSWER Differs from Other Golf Apps
There are many golf apps out there. Where does ANSWER stand? Today we added a comparison matrix and overview to LAB.
What Users Really Want
Different apps serve different core needs:
- Paper yardage books: Know the course—hazards and terrain
- Popular domestic apps (e.g. Rakuten, GDO): Replace paper scorecards; record and share with friends
- Global tech apps (e.g. Arccos, SwingU): Enjoy browsing data
ANSWER focuses on one thing: seriously lowering your score and getting better.
What We Dropped, What We Sharpened
What we dropped
- GPS distance & navigation: With rangefinders everywhere, pin distance on your phone is outdated. What matters is where the highest expected value (EV) target is—planned before you play
- Swing analysis & video: A pretty swing and score-making ability are different. We focus solely on objective analysis of results with Strokes Gained (SG)
What we sharpened
- Real-time wind & environmental data: Wind direction, speed, and elevation—what pros always check—integrated into your strategic map
- PDF export: Turn in-app maps and strategy data into your own printable yardage book
The Improvement Cycle
We explain our design: Plan → Round → Analysis, a PDCA loop for lowering your score.
